Virginia was born on May 21, 1942 in Pachuca Hidalgo Mexico. Virginia married her neighbor and the Love of her Life Michael Trebizo. She had three children; Lizzie, Markie and Michel-But her favorite was her 1st born Grandchild Carlos-Just ask her. Virginia was raised in the barrio of Cucamonga, a neighborhood she loved dearly. She was always involved with the community in some way. Virginia was a very hard worker, she picked grapes, cleaned houses, and worked at Montgomery Wards for over 20 years as the best furniture sales lady they ever had. Virginia was very involved with her children and was always at the Little League Park with her sons and daughter who she taught to love the game of baseball. Go Dodgers! Even with her busy schedule, she was still her children’s number one cheerleader-And boy could she cheer loud!-and for sure never missed our games. Virginia developed a folklorico dancing group with her children and the other neighborhood kids, teaching them to be proud of their heritage-Folklorico Infantil de Cucamonga we were called. Performing all over and getting paid. Mom used to tell us we were professionals, cause we got paid:) She was also involved with the Cucamonga Elementary School helping out with plays, teaching folklorico and sewing costumes as a talented seamstress, and of course, the school politics. Both Virginia and her husband Mike also associated with the Brown Berets, advocating for the advancement of educating Chicanos. Virginia being the warrior she was, placed her kids in Catholic school to give them a better education. This financial sacrifice shows the love and dedication that her and her husband always had for their children. Once Virginia and Mike became empty nesters they began their well deserved life of travel. This included yearly trips to Kauai (sometimes even twice a year) Virginia loved her husband very deeply and she knew these trips to Kauai made her husband happy. They also went on many cruises visiting The Cayman Islands, Aruba, Jamaica, Alaska and many more. Virginia loved to get all dressed up- Mom loved being fancy and getting to sit at the captain’s table:) She loved the glamorous life and the bling. She also enjoyed taking her weekend trips to Vegas and Laughlin hitting those jackpots and playing bingo. When the Lord took Grampy, Grandma involved herself in many ministries, helping with food give aways and translating for other churches. Always helping and giving to her community. She also loved her Loteria Tuesdays at the Center and her Loteria Sisters.
Virginia and Mike attended Iglesia la Roca in Cucamonga with Pastor Manuel and his wife, Linda Torres. Mom truly loved her Church Family (especially Terri Acosta) She would talk about them all with such Joy! She also went on various mission trips and Women's retreats as well as attending every Sunday and Wednesday. Grandma always made it a point to go to church every single Sunday so that she could give all glory, honor and Thanksgiving to God for All His Blessings.
Grandma loved her grandchildren so much. You could see her face light up whenever they walked in the house.
For sure the streets are a little more Golden with our Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother.
Virginia is also survived by her sisters, Irma(Chuck), Stella, Hortencia, Letty, and her brother Javie(Mirella).
