William Patrick Dowling

William, fondly known as Bill or Billy, was born to John and Jennie on September 21, 1944, in Pomona, California. Bill grew up in Baldwin Park and was a 1962 graduate of Baldwin Park High School.

Bill spent 45 years as a piping designer / engineer and had a passion for golf, fishing, hunting, old cars, crossword puzzles and classic movies.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of over 47 years, Aileen (ne. Allard). They raised their loving family in Upland, California, which includes children, Kimberly (John), John (Deanna), and Laura (Ron).

Bill was known by all as a kind and generous man who will be tragically missed. The loves of Bill’s life included his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his sister, Ellen Rawls, and brothers John (Renny), Joe and David and their families.

As one of Bill’s favorites said, “I knew someday that you would fly away, for love’s the greatest healer to be found. So, leave me if you need to, I will still remember Angel flying too close to the ground.” – Willie Nelson
