Della Lee Schmitt Russell

Della Lee Russell, 70, of Morganton, died, Tuesday, August 23, 2011, while at the Burke Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Valdese. Born November 18, 1940, in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Glenn John Schmitt and Helen Virginia White Schmitt. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Ms. Russell is survived by a son, Ronald L. Russell, Jr and wife, Rita, of VA; Two daughters, Terry Smith, of Morganton, NC and Sherry Russell, of VA; Five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jan, Haley, Angela and Ronnie, III; Two great grandchildren also survive Ms. Russell.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 3:00PM at Valdese Family Funeral Care with Reverend Barry Mahorney officiating. The family will have a gathering of friends one hour prior to the service.
