Victoria Taylor Staton

Miss Victoria Taylor Staton, age 16, of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 9, 2012 after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Victoria was born to Michael Staton and Cynthia Kaye Staton on September 1, 1996 in Brooklyn, NY.

Victoria was a junior at Patton High School and was a member of Mount Home Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and was active in the youth ministry. One of her favorite pastimes was reading. She enjoyed Harry Potter and the Twilight series. Victoria had a loving heart and will be greatly missed.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her parents, Michael and Cynthia Staton of Morganton; two brothers, James and Zachariah Staton of Morganton; paternal grandparents, Thurman and Alma Staton of Lenoir; and her maternal grandmother, Wendy Dansereau of Morganton. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, November 12, 2012 at Mount Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
