Edward Dale Garrett

Dale Garrett, 73, of Alma, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born August 15, 1950 in Fort Smith to the late John and Minnie (Bernard) Garrett. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, and was retired from the Fort Smith Regional Airport.

He is survived by his wife, Gina Garrett of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Buercklin (Shaun) of Fayetteville, and Tasha McDaniel of Fort Smith; two sons, Jimmy Garrett (Katina) of Virginia Beach, and Jonny Garrett (Natasha) of Atlanta; two sisters, Cathy Purvis (Jim) of Little Rock, and Rea Becca Rutledge of Romance; six grandchildren, Zack Fritschie, Cody Buercklin, Chase Buercklin, Kendall McDaniel, Sydni Lewis, and Elisa Garrett; and two great-grandchildren, Mackynlee Lewis and Landyn Garrett.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Morgan, Ray Peevy, Basil Kenner, James Phillips, Dub Shankle, and Mike Hicks.

Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
