Ella Jo Peters

Ella Jo Peters, 87, of Alma, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026. She was born June 24, 1938 in Dyer to the late A.J. and Ella (Langston) Henson. She was a seamstress, and a member of the Mulberry First Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Peters; a daughter, Barbara Warren; a son, Scott Peters; four sisters, Susie Hazelton, Jean Morse, Deloris Walsh, and Verdie Ward; and two brothers, Neal Henson and Gale Henson.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Kelli Peters of Alma; five grandchildren, Amanda Fouts (Heath) of Muldrow, Adam Warren (Ashley) of Tomahawk, KY, Newt Peters (Kristy) of Van Buren, Jacob Peters (Cailyn) of Van Buren, and Cooper Peters of Alma; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Mulberry First Assembly of God with interment to follow at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Adam Warren, Kalen “Newt” Peters, Jacob Peters, Cooper Peters, Ayden Warren, and Heath Fouts.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
