Eugene Ellison, 83, of Van Buren, Arkansas, died, Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in a local hospital. He was born June 2, 1927 in Ozark, Arkansas. He was a retired civil engineer. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Carol Conner and Pamela Alkire. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ellison of the home; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren. Pallbearers will be Tam Ellison, Rick Ellison, Dale Edwards, and Dale Gentry. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR.
