

Gary Jay Bell, 73, of Nixa, Mo., passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014. He was born February 27, 1941 in Maywood, Calif. to the late Gerald and Mary (Chastain) Bell. In additional to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Vint Bell.
Gary was united in marriage to Carolyn Ague September 24, 1965, in Poteau, Okla. Gary owned Bell Trucking in Van Buren, and BELCOR Trucking in Springfield, Mo. He loved spending time with family and his grandchildren, and enjoyed car racing, golf, 18-wheel trucks, and traveling around the world. Gary was a fun person with many friends. He was a member of Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Ozark, Mo.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home; four daughters, Debbie Patrylick of Paris, Carrie Putnam of Austin, Tex., Vicki Perkins of Springfield, and Shanda Louzader of Medina, Ohio; a son, Steve Bell of Nixa, Mo.; a brother, Jimmy Bell of Van Buren; nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
Cremation was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home in Nixa, Mo. Burial of ashes at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
