Gary Lee Scott, 67, of Alma, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at his home. He was born November 19, 1950 in Chickasha, OK. He was in sales, and valued the many friendships he built throughout his career in the food service industry. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church Van Buren and enjoyed serving alongside his church family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Scott; and a sister, Kay Scott.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Scott of the home; a daughter, Amanda Wagnon and husband Jerrod of Chester; a son, Jeremy Scott and wife Jessica of Alma; his father, LeeVern Scott of Alma and three grandchildren, Will Scott, Heidi Wagnon, and Wesson Wagnon with another on the way.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at the First Baptist Chapel in Van Buren. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wednesday Morning Men’s Bible Study Group.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Youth Ministry at 945 Main Street, Van Buren, AR 72956.
