Gary Sutherland, 63, of Van Buren, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in his home. He was born November 8, 1946 in Raymondville, Texas. He was a construction superintendant and an avid fisherman and golfer.
He was survived by his wife, Jaquita Sutherland of the home; one daughter, Jarah Sutherland of Johnson, AR; three sons, Will Porter and his wife Tammy of Ozark, AR, Hank Sutherland and his wife Megan of Rogers, AR, Gary Sutherland of Fort Smith, AR; his mother and father-in-law, DeMona and Jerry Reeves of Ozark, AR; one sister, Birdie Saathoff of Portland, TX; two brothers, Jerry Sutherland of Dallas, TX and Steve Sutherland of Desota, TX; as well as 7 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Sutherland will be cremated following the service under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Viewing will be from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday, March 12, 2010.
The family will visit with friends from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, March 12, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR.
