J. C. McCollum, 85, of Conway, formerly of Fort Smith, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 in Conway. He was born December 9, 1930 in Broken Arrow to the late Mont and Nora Lee McCollum. He was a retired Vice President for First National Bank of Fort Smith, and had also worked at the Bank of Mulberry. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katy McCollum; and a sister, Nola Abshere.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra Ake and husband William of Conway; a son, Larry McCollum and wife Cindy of Russellville; a twin sister, Wanda Cunningham of Mulberry; three grandchildren, Jason McCollum, Andrew McCollum, and William Jeremy Ake; and two great-grandchildren, Liam and Wyatt Ake.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at New Cemetery in Mulberry, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
