

Jimmy Alton Terry, 64, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016 in Oklahoma City. He was born September 5, 1951 in Chickasha, OK to the late Merlin and Bonnie Terry. He was a Commodity Manager for Baldor Electric. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Heath Shoulders and Tony Terry.
He is survived by his wife, Benita Terry of the home; a daughter, Shanda Wilkinson of Van Buren; four sons, Christopher Terry of Lowell, Jason Terry of Cedarville, Jeffery Young of Fort Smith, and Matthew Young of Albany, GA; a sister, Nelda Malone of Fort Smith; thirteen grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Heritage United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Doug Ray, Wade Black, Scott Price, Mark Marincik, Scott Peterson, and Jim Rust.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
Jim’s wish is for memorial contributions to be made to “Stand Up for Saylor” a fund dedicated to expenses associated with his granddaughter’s battle with leukemia (Arvest Bank #83816198).
