John William Witt, 84, of Chester, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 in Barling. He was born May 23, 1929 in Brandsville, MO to the late James and Vera Witt. He retired from the U.S. Army, and worked at both Wal-Mart and Yeager’s True Value.
He is survived by his wife, DeAnn Kelly Witt of the home; two daughters, Teresa Witt of Mountainburg, and Teia Kelly of Van Buren; a son, Monty Witt of Honolulu, HI; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Newberry Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
