Linda Mae Mathis, 78, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026 in Fort Smith. She was born April 11, 1948 in Richland Parish, Louisiana to the late Alvin and Bessie (Barnes) Winbery. She was a beautician.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Mathis; six sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by four daughters, Michelle McFadden of Van Buren, Leslie Mathis Hatfield of Arkoma, Monica Baldwin of Fort Smith, and Velta Mathis of Van Buren; seven grandchildren, James, Beth, Baylee, Leah, Michelle, Sarah, and Micah; and seven great-grandchildren, Abby, Brodey, Marilyn, Mason, Chloe, Zoe, and Charlotte.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2026 at Mount McCurry Cemetery in Rudy, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
