

Linda Sue Shores, 78, of Alma, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 in Fort Smith. She was born October 15, 1945 in Fort Smith to the late O. Odell Reed and Sally Moore. She was an insurance agent. Linda loved life, music, fishing, camping, swimming, and other outdoorsy things until she could no longer do many. She truly cherished all the fur babies that came into her life, especially the last two, Gizmo and Pixy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Dorris Reed; and her in-laws, Ransom Jr. and Mary Shores.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 41 years, J.R.; her daughters, Tanya Marley (Ken) and Shannon Faulkner (Ed Toward), all of Van Buren, and Kim Splawn (Jimmy) of Saudi Arabia; a sister, Terri Miller (Scott) of Sherwood; her grandchildren, Tasha Thompson of Charleston, Kayla Erke (James), Rachel Faulkner, and Ian Faulkner, all of Van Buren, John Splawn attending college in Stillwater, OK, Sophia Splawn attending college in Fayetteville, and Dalton Splawn of Saudi Arabia; and her three precious and adorable great-grandsons, Azonael and Gabriel Thompson of Charleston, and August Erke of Van Buren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Marley, Ed Toward, Ian Faulkner, James Erke, John Splawn, and Azonael Thompson.
The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
