

Lou Jean Parrish, 87, of Kibler, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015. She was born March 2, 1928 in Benton, KY to the late Harley and Etta Houser. She was a homemaker; a member of Gospel Tabernacle in Poteau; and attended Sunnyside Assembly of God in Van Buren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Parrish; a daughter, Sue Parrish; a son, Dennis Gregory; a sister, Vida Phelps; and four brothers, Clifford, Alfred, Olen, and Bobby Houser.
She is survived by three daughters, Ann Worley of Savannah, TN, Betty Cole of Sterling Heights, MI, and Dee Bratcher of Alma; a son, Bill Parrish of Prattville, AL; a sister, Clara Henson of Benton, KY; eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be members of the Gospel Tabernacle of Poteau.
The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
