Mark Steven “Pops” “Hair” McCormick, 58, of Alma, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Van Buren. He was born November 26, 1958 in Van Buren. He was an old hippie with the sweetest spirit and a giving heart who would always help a friend in need. He worked in construction, and was preceded in death by his father, John McCormick.
He is survived by a son, Joshua McCormick and wife Shawney of Rudy; his mother, Margaret McCormick of Alma; a sister, Vicki Taylor and husband Ernie of Alma; two brothers, John McCormick and Tracy McCormick both of Alma; a granddaughter, his Angel, Miya Grace McCormick; his best friend, Karen Pixley; numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends and family.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
