Mildred Taylor

Mildred Frances Taylor, 88, of Fort Smith, AR, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. She was born September 21, 1923 in Rudy, AR. She was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Wayne Taylor; her parents, Roy and Ruth Jamison and a brother, Gene Jamison.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Thrasher of Fort Smith, AR; a sister, Pat Swaim and her husband Bill of Van Buren, AR; two grandchildren, Jerry Thrasher and his wife Angie of Springdale, AR and Scott Thrasher of Fort Smith, AR and three great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 20, 2012 at First Assembly of God in Van Buren, AR with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Larry Faulkner, Darrell Lewis, David Mathis, Bill Freeman, Ron Ashley, Perry Mankins, Herman Travis and Wes Skaggs.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Burris, Charles Watson, Jerry Watson, Al Daris, JW Polk and Jackie Thrasher.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
