

Lee Morgan, 87, of Mountainburg, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 in Alma. He was born June 27, 1929 in Mountainburg to the late James and Sophia Morgan. He was a member and Deacon of Pigeon Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Mountainburg, and served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty.
He is survived by three daughters, Susan Thomas and husband Butch of Mountainburg, Lisa Sims and husband Michale of Mountainburg, and Julie Palmer and husband Shay of Mountainburg; a son, David Morgan and wife Terrie of Mountainburg; a sister, Shirley Day of Roland; a brother, Freddie Morgan of Barling; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Conley Cemetery in Mountainburg, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Harry Ridenour, Scott Dyer, Gaylon Miller, Dennis Shores, and Steve Edwards.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
