Olen Brooks, Jr., 72, of Mulberry, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. He was born August 19, 1942 in Mulberry, to the late Olen and Opal Brooks. He was a retired inspector for the Arkansas State Hwy Department, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by two sons, Howard Brooks of Mulberry, and Keith Brooks of Fort Smith; two sisters, Dian Byrd of Keota, and Mae Cunningham of Mulberry; a brother, Robert Ballard of Warsaw, IL; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at Pope Cemetery in the Graphic Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Mirus, Richard Mirus, Odell Brooks, Bill Linder, Todd Lanphear, and Chuck Astree.
