

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years; Henry Carl Hayes, her parents; Shorty and Ellisteen Collins, and a sister Joyce Vickery.
Patsy was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, and was retired after 38 years as a budget analyst at Fort Chaffee. She was a member of the Fort Smith Bridge-Duplicate Club where she earned her Life Master rank. She was Treasurer for the Sparks Auxiliary for eight years, and volunteered in the Sparks Hospital gift shop. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and was on the 1950-1951 State Champion Basketball team under Coach Clair Bates. She was an avid reader, domino player, and loved playing cards with friends and family. She also loved to travel, especially trips to Branson with the ladies from the church.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
She is survived by three daughters; Carlene Boren and her husband Chick of Van Buren, Marilyn Boone and her husband Dan of Van Buren, Vicki Kuehn and her husband Jeffrey of Germantown, TN, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister, Rebecca Goines and her husband Theodore of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be James Goines, Paul Parks, George Woodard, Brian Fry, Richard Kuehn, and Ed Koehler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Hancock, Charlie Parks, Delmar Lewis, Jim Parker, and Sidney Kuehn.
The family will visit with friends from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Christian Home in Morrilton, AR or to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
