Paul W. Smith Jr.

Paul W. Smith Jr., 84 of Van Buren, AR, died Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Fort Smith, AR. He was born August 4, 1927 in Keytesville, MO. He owned and operated a Manufactured Homes Transportation Service, owned two mobile home parks and other rental properties along with his wife, attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Van Buren, AR and served in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverna Mae Smith; two brothers, Wayne Smith and Benton Smith.

He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Millican and her husband Curtis of Van Buren, AR; two sons, Dennis Smith and his wife Janet of Fort Smith, AR, Kenneth “Ricky” Smith and his wife Patricia of Sallisaw, OK; his companion, Sandra Ragsdale of Van Buren, AR and her daughter, Teresa Carlton of Joplin, MO; five sisters, Betty Smith of Lee Summit, MO, Dorothy Taylor of Kansas City, MO, Janette Burris of Hemet, CA, Katheryn Smith of Kansas City, MO and Edna Ann Smith of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Harold Smith of Independence, MO and Kenneth Smith of ID; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel in Van Buren, AR with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, AR under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Smith, Wesley Smith, Dawson Smith, Wade Jenkins, Derrick Jenkins, Neal Smith, Austin Lawler and Harold Wilder.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Colton Daniel, Sawyer Jenkins and Murphy Jenkins.

The Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
