Ruth Elizabeth Coleman

Ruth Elizabeth Coleman, 84, of Dyer passed away Friday, July 7, 2023 at her home. She was born November 7, 1938 in Dyer to the late Jewell and Martha (Bowlin) Chitwood. She retired from Whirlpool, and was a member of Dyer United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Coleman; and brother, John Paul Chitwood.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Kay Staton and husband Donald of Dyer; a son, Paul Wayne Coleman of Mountainburg; two grandchildren, Saige Small and Lauren Geheb; two bonus grandchildren, Corrie Staton Tran and Hanna Staton; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Dyer United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Hung Tran, Anthony Geheb, Bill Moore, Roy Dooly, Cole Brogdon, Gabe Brogdon, and Eddie Gatlin.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
