Ruth Ellen Hanson, 66, of Fort Smith, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born January 6, 1946 in Texarkana to Guy and Minnie Pate. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter Tami Gee of Fort Smith; a son Danny Hanson of Fort Smith; a sister Dora Smith of Fort Smith and a granddaughter Marissa Myers.
Mrs. Hanson will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, Arkansas.
