Sara Calderon, 66, of Van Buren, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at her home. She was born January 11, 1958, in Metapán, El Salvador to the late Manuel De Jesus Monterroza and Rosa Amelia Recinos. She worked in general production for a poultry plant.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Ana E. Calderon.
Sara is survived by a daughter, Delmi N. Calderon; a son, Jose I. Calderon; four sisters: Rosenda Monterroza, Maria O. Monterroza, Elisbet Monterroza, and Rosa D. Monterroza; seven brothers: Eliseo Monterroza, Benjamin Monterroza, Antonio Monterroza, Neri A. Monterroza, Angel M. Monterroza, Andres Monterroza and Jose H. Monterroza and five grandchildren: Jose D. Felipe, Maria A. Felipe, Kevin E. Felipe, Katerine J. Felipe and Joseph I. Calderon.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024, at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
