Wanda Jean Smith

Wanda Jean Smith, 79, of Alma, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born May 29, 1937 in Clovis, NM to the late Clarence and Ila Pearl Griffin. She was a homemaker, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Alma, and the Alma Home Extension Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Smith.

She is survived by three daughters, Cindy Winborn and husband James of Alma, Brenda Smith of Alma, and Glenda Kimes and husband Jeff of Burleson, TX; eight grandchildren, Erica Hutchinson, Cory Bray, Sarah Childers, Aaron Bray, Scott Kimes, Alicia Presley, Jay Winborn, and Derek Kimes; two step-grandchildren, Zach Harmon and Kenra Newton, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Alma with interment to follow at Newberry Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family will visit with friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
