Wayne Davis, 64, of Alma, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 in Fort Smith. He was born August 3, 1953 in Forrest City. He was retired from Randall Ford. Wayne loved to tell stories and corny jokes. He also liked to play practical jokes and have them played on him. He loved the Razorbacks, golf, fishing, and playing cards with his buddies. If he was whistling, it was a good day. He and Barb loved to adopt furbabies and received much love in return.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years (which he enjoyed “almost” every minute of), Barbara Davis of the home; his mother, Flora Davis of Wynne, AR; two sisters, Janie Brawner and husband Danny of Wynne, and Renee Ricker and husband Dan of Forrest City; a brother, David Davis and wife Julia of Forrest City; a sister-in-law, Penny Davis of Forrest City; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Davis, and a brother, Earl Davis.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Lindsey Cemetery in Forrest City, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home of Forrest City, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR. The family will also visit from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Stevens Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington Street, Forrest City, AR.
