Alice arrived in Canada in 2006 after years of hard work as an Overseas Filipino Worker in the Middle East and Hongkong. She had cared for the elderly and was a loving nanny to several families in Vancouver. She recently joined the healthcare scene as a mental health worker to which she dedicated the last few months of her life serving the community.
A loving daughter, a devoted mother, and a true friend; Alice was always there for everyone and was ever-kind. She was strong-willed and lived a life of sincerity and absolute faith.
The family and loved ones of Alice sincerely thank you for sharing their sadness and loss at this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated and will always be remembered.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hamiltonharronfunerals.com for the Orense family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, Vancouver, British Columbia. Phone 604-325-7441.
There’s no time for sad remembrances,
because I’m home where I belong.
I’ve conquered all my battles.
I’ve even heard the trumpet’s song.
I’ve climbed my highest mountain
and I’ve reached an even peak
and I’ve found that peace and true reward
that you have yet to seek.
There’s no time for sad remembrances,
for you have a precious life.
So find comfort in my journey.
Please don’t bear this pain and strife.
Oh! My Father’s house is perfect,
just like he said it would be.
So dry your tears and smile for me,
because I’m home and now I’m free.
I am part of all the beauty that
your world has yet to see.
So don’t be sad about my journey,
just be glad that I am free!
