Allison Carter passed away peacefully in her home on December 18, 2024, at the age of 62. Born on April 3, 1962, she lived a life filled with love, joy, and unwavering devotion to the people, passions, and faith that brought her the greatest happiness.
Allison will always be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her steadfast faith in God, and her deep connection to her church community. As a devoted member of Grace Vancouver Church, she found strength and purpose in her relationship with God and the fellowship of her congregation.
She found immense joy in spending time with her family and friends and had a passion for musicals, theater, and sharing delicious meals. Her love of panda bears and all things cute and cuddly was a perfect reflection of her playful, tender-hearted nature.
Allison dedicated her life to nurturing others as a childcare provider, leaving her mark at Strathcona Community Center, Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House, and most recently, South Vancouver Neighbourhood House. Her warmth, generosity, and compassion touched countless lives, and she was beloved by the children she cared for, their families, and her colleagues.
Her family and friends will forever cherish her infectious laughter, her kind heart, and her remarkable ability to make even the smallest moments extraordinary. Her faith and devotion served as a beacon of light, not only in her life but in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
Allison is survived by her daughter Amanda (Ervin), mother Yin Fai, sister Sylvia (Michael), brother Ken (Mary), and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Phillip.
