We sadly announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Amar Parkash Kaur Dhillon. Amar passed away at the age of 74 years of age in Ladner, British Columbia on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Amar was born in Ghuman Kalan, Punjab, India in 1949.
Amar is survived by her loving sons Harpreet and Amandeep (Nicole), her brother Nanak (Satwant), and her sisters Harmit (Surinder), Harwant (Gurnam), and Amarjit (Mohan). She is predeceased by her parents Tehal Singh Ghuman and Gurbachan Kaur Ghuman, and her husband Yadvinder Singh Dhillon.
Amar moved to the Yukon in April 1975, living first in Faro and then Whitehorse. After raising her family in the Yukon and after many adventures there, she moved down to Ladner in 2010. Once in Ladner, Amar quickly became involved in the community, and she was much loved and will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the McKee House Senior Society at 5155 47 Ave, Delta, from 6-10 pm on Saturday, February 24. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
