Andrzej Jan Tomaszewski

Andrzej Jan Tomaszewski was born Feb 16, 1958 in Warsaw, Poland and passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 21, 2021 in Vancouver, British Columbia. He immigrated to Canada from Poland in 1989 with his wife and two year old daughter. Despite holding a Psychology degree from the University of London, he was required to redo his education, starting with his high school credentials. Working part-time jobs to support his growing family, he put himself through school completing the Medical Radiography Diploma program at BCIT in the mid-90's. At work his colleagues found him a cheerful man with a solid work ethic and good sense of humour. In 2006, he, his wife and his eldest daughter obtained their Canadian Citizenship. He will be forever remembered by his surviving family as providing them with the opportunity to grow-up and succeed in this beautiful country known as Canada. Andrew is predeceased by his father, Leszek Tomaszewski. He is survived by his wife, Renata, daughters, Maia and Olga, his mother Elzbieta Tomaszewska, and his brother Krzysztof Tomaszewski. A Funeral Service will be held, by invitation, at Glenhaven Memorial Chapel 1835 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, British Columbia.
