Anita Yuk Wan Cheng

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anita Yuk Wan Cheng, a loving mother and friend. She passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, with her son and daughter at her side. She was predeceased by her brother, Philip, her mother and father. She lives on through her two children, Edmond and Emery.

Born on February 21, 1953, Anita was the youngest of 2 children of Sui Wang and Sam Nui Cheng. She immigrated to Canada with her family where she attended and graduated high school in Vancouver. She lived a quiet life and devoted herself to being the best daughter and mother possible. She loved to travel and always dreamed to travel the world with her family but her greatest joy was simply to spend time and create memories with her family. She was optimistic, independent and brave as she fought her many illnesses. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her warmth, kindness, smile, and unconditional love.

There will be a private memorial and celebration of Anita’s life at a later date.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people at German Canadian Care Home and Vancouver General Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
