knew since high school    he was always in good spirits whenever i ran into him   and later in life downtown at the coffee shop on Dunsmuir   my condolences

I think Tony would find the following quite amusing:
I am not very compuer suave and accidentally posted a picture of myself on my earlier shared memory -instead of one of Tony and I.  I feel like an idiot. I also MISTAKINGLY wrote ....
possible when I meant impossible ...to find a friend like Tony,
Additionally, I  wrote a longer message with many funny stories of our 58 year friendship last night, which I can not find.
The pain I feel for the loss of Tony is only tempered by the flood of great memories that I have for the loyalist friend a person could have. It is cliche to say that he was unique but he most certainly was. I often felt sad that some people didn't get what a great heart he had.  Their loss.  And now ours.  My sincerest  thoughts are with you at this time.  I am sure that Tony is laughing at my earlier goof up.  Darn computers.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you all at this time.  I will carry Tony in my heart always.  It would be possible to find a better or more loyal friend. 

Tony was a great friend to my brother Scott and we all have fond memories of Tony as a young child in our neighbourhood. He was a very caring and kind person who was genuine in his interest in what you were doing. He visited my grandmother when she was dying - brought her a piece if her favourite watermelon.  Very kind person was Tony and I know he will be remembered with great love and generosity of spirit. 

The special people in our lives are never really gone....they have a cherished place in our hearts where they will always be remembered for the love they shared and the happiness they brought
