Barbara Joan Sutherland passed away peacefully at McKenney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge on October 9, 2025. Born on January 13, 1941 and raised in Vancouver, Barbara was the only child of Robert (Bob) & Ethel Sutherland. Barbara loved to travel and enjoyed sharing many stories with friends & family of where she had been. She loved swimming, was an avid curler for many years at the Vancouver Curling Club, and never missed an opportunity to tackle a challenging Sudoku. She worked for a number of years at BC Children's Hospital and then volunteered at Canuck Place for over 25 years, a place which she passionately supported. Barbara was quite witty and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by cousins, nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Canuck Place Children's Hospice or to BC SPCA. A celebration of life will be held for her in January 2026.
