1929 – 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound love we announce the passing of Beverley (Bev) North, aged 96. Bev passed away peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital on May 25, 2026, with family near her side.

Born in Vancouver to loving parents Dorothy and Randolph Jones, Bev grew up in the Point Grey area and attended Lord Byng high school. She lived and raised her family in this Vancouver neighborhood and felt most fortunate to call it her lifetime home. Married to her high school sweetheart and late husband Robert James (Bill) North, Bev embraced a lifetime of love and happiness, always surrounded by family and friends. Bev’s passion for golf, bridge, boating, and community service, kept her busy throughout the years and her social calendar was always full. Ever supportive of others, and matched with an eternal sense of humor, upon hearing about someone’s trying day she could be heard saying “Well, it sounds like you need a drink!”

Bev is survived and dearly missed by her 3 children; daughter Janette Coan (d. Mike), son Randy North (Sue), and son Ken North (Sharon), 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, along with many close friends and extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Bev at her home residence at Seasons at Arbutus Walk, with a date to be announced in June, followed by a family celebration of life planned for later in the summer of 2026.
