Bill Wan Koi Lau

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill Wan Koi Lau. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 10, 2025, at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with cancer. He brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with his kind heart, humour, warm smile and generosity.

Bill’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty; loving children, Bonnie Tin (Michael Tin) and Cindy Lau-Owens; his adored grandchildren: Ryan Tin, Taryn Owens, Kaitlyn Tin, Brandon Tin and Alyssa Owens.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to all the doctors and healthcare team at VGH, MSJ, BCCA. Special thanks to Dr Segedi and Dr Lin for providing exemplary and heartfelt care to Bill.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:30AM at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC. A burial service will follow at 1:00PMat Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC.

Flower arrangements are welcome and can be sent to Hamilton Harron Funeral Home on Friday, January 24th. Alternatively, donations can be made to BC Cancer Agency in honor of Bill Wan Koi Lau
