Caliopi "Popi" Quilici

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Caliopi “Popi” Quilici. She passed away at the age of 88, surrounded by her daughters and close family friend Octavia, at Richmond Hospital on July 20th, 2026.

Caliopi was born in Samos, Greece, on August 13th, 1937, to Aristidis and Evangelia Ioannou. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Domenico (Nick), and her sisters, Sofia, Angeliki, and Sotiria. Caliopi is survived by her children: Lola (Ken), Angie (Paul), and Anna (Dino).

Cherished grandchildren: Greg (Nadi), Kaliopi (Johny), Domenic, Nicholas, Brandon (Minjee), Eleni (David), Dante (Andrea), and great-grandmother of David “Junior” and another great-grandson on the way.

She is also survived by her sister, Matina, as well as many nephews, nieces, family members, and friends across Greece, Italy, and Canada.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, in her memory would be greatly appreciated.

Our Mother will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. ❤️

A Funeral Service will be held at St. George's Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 4500 Arbutus St, Vancouver, BC, V6J 4A2, CA, on August 4, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC, V5G 4A9, CA, on August 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
