I have known Calvin since 2022, and he was one of the few first members of MABC and Malaysians that I get to know after moving to Canada in 2021. Over time, I got to know him better and found him to be a genuinely nice person with great hospitality.
He’s friendly, fun, easy to talk to and work with. And let’s not forget his amazing cooking skills!
I had the privilege to work with him on several MABC events in the past. He is an expert at organizing and managing events.
I was shocked and sadden when I receive the news of his passing.

Calvin was one of the first Malaysians Emily and I got to know when we landed in Vancouver in 2013.
I have had the opportunity to work closely with him in MABC for nearly five years, and found him dedicated, generous, and caring. Calvin’s tireless and numerous contributions made MABC what it is today.  
We had lunch with Calvin and Christine just a month and a half ago and Calvin looked no different from his usual jovial and smiling self. Christine’s message to us while we were in Vietnam a week ago was hence a total shock to us.

Despite his ailing health, he was always a good sport, showing up for MABC hikes, organizing gatherings, and bringing us fond memories of Asia through his durians! We came to know Calvin at a MABC function almost 10 years ago and would bump into him at the many MABC dinners and events he had helped to organize.
