

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Charalambos (Bob) Tsangaris on March 18, 2026, in Richmond, BC, at the age of 96.
Born in Gargaliani, Greece, to Dimitrios and Maria Tsangaris, Bob began his working life in the family transport business, driving and repairing trucks, buses, and taxis. In 1960, he immigrated to Canada and eventually settled in Kitimat, BC, where he dedicated 33 years of service to the Alcan Aluminum Smelter.
In 1970, Bob married the love of his life, Aglaia Athanasopoulos. Together, they built a life grounded in love, hard work, and family, raising their two sons with pride and devotion.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his adoring wife, Aglaia; his sons, Demetrios (Jimmy) and Theodoros (Terry) (Chrysanti); and his cherished grandchildren, Charalambos Leonidas and Eva. He is also survived by his sister Georgia Demiris; niece Susie Demiris Miceli and family; nephew Bill Demiris and family; brother and sister-in-law George and Rumiko Athanasopoulos and family; nephew and niece Aris and Vaso Soukas and family; and many dear relatives and friends in Canada and Greece.
He is also dearly remembered by sister,
Eleni Antoniou, brother, Anastasios Tsangaris.
Predeceased by his siblings, Kostantinos Tsangaris, Theodoros Tsangaris, Athena Tsakonas, and is fondly remembered by their families, all of whom he held close in his heart.
Bob will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and deep love for his family.
