With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Charles Vagay. He died peacefully at Vancouver General Hospital and will be terribly missed by his many friends, family and two grown sons, Marvin and Jeffrey. Charles was born and grew up in San Juan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He had a happy childhood, did well in school and went on to become a civil engineer in the Philippines before coming to Canada in 1977. Charlie was a devoted husband and family man. He is predeceased by his much loved wife, Lolita. Always there for a friend he particularly loved children, and they loved him.
Viewing is open to the public, 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 26 at Hamilton Funeral Service, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 27 at St. Mary's Parish, 5252 Joyce Street, Vancouver at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Ocean View Cemetery, 4000 Imperial Street Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the BC Cancer Society
