Colleen was a very talented music teacher and it was my privilege to have had her as my mentor when I first started teaching at Capt. Cook School 35 years ago. I am glad we kept in touch all these years, and I was able to enjoy Colleen's great sense of humour and beautiful smiles over lunches and dinners. Colleen will be remembered with fond memories.

Wow, Sheila, what a shock for me!
I lost touch with Colleen many, many years ago, and didn't know she was married. How well I remember being in your home when you were young, ( and so were we!) Bob Hewer, D'Arcy, Muriel, David Beardmore, and others come to mind as I think of many hundreds of bridge games. We always marveled at Colleen's sixth sense of where the cards were in the 4 hands being played,she was right 99%%3B it was uncanny! 
Was she ill long? I hope not. She looked so very happy in the picture you chose for her notice.
My thoughts will be with you at Shaughnessy on the 31st.

To My Uncle John,

I am so sorry for your loss and that I can't be there to give you a warm hug.  Auntie Colleen was a wonderful and warm woman who brought happiness into the lives of everyone around her. I will always remember Christmases and birthdays at her house that were filled with laughter, good food and good company. I think it's so wonderful how you found each other and were able to have so many romantic adventures over these past years.  So many memories to be treasured.  She had a life well lived. You are both in my thoughts and in my heart.  Rest In Peace Auntie Colleen.

I always enjoyed my times with Colleen.  She could energize a whole room with her infectious wide smile and those twinkling eyes! While she had an impish, fun side, she was a most kind, considerate person and the one word that comes to mind to describe her is "empathetic". I will miss her very much. Colleen always loved a good laugh and pleasant times with good friends.  And she loved to travel, absorb and enjoy all that life had to offer.  I will remember her with affection for her friendship and  the good times we shared ever since we were students at university, and on down through the last almost fifty years.
