It is with great sadness that today I discovered that a dear friend had indeed passed away, as I feared when I had lost touch with him in 2020.  I want to thank you for having this place to let others know that he is no longer with us. 

Colin was a wonderful person-one of the kindest and funniest people I have met in my life. Very intelligent and extremely caring, he  helped many people in his life-though not always appreciated-in various places.  I will always be most grateful for him introducing me to my first and best university job in Korea. 

While the world could certainly still use a good guy like Colin, gone sooner than we would expect, God decided it was time to take him home. Rest in Peace my friend!

My name's Brian; I'm a Canadian expat in South Korea. I knew Colin and several other mutual friends here in Korea.  I am very sorry to hear of his passing. I know that he had struggled with some personal trauma and alcoholism, but he nonetheless was a great and inspirational person, teacher and companion.

I met Colin in university. He was one of the few kind souls to accept me for who I was and I will always honor his friendship. I'm sorry you're gone, and too young.

Collin had a heart of gold which he wore on his sleeve.  You always knew exactly how he was feeling which always led us into some interesting conversations. Collin was also very intelligent. He was well versed in many subjects and had especially strong views on political topics. He knew how to push people's buttons to get reactions out of them and usually got what he was looking for, lol. 

Collin was one of those people who you were always pleased to see and sit down for a chat. He would give you the shirt off his back  and try anything to help out a friend. He was a rare example of what it means to be a true friend and fraternity brother. He will be missed by many.
