Czeslawa Nowak

21 May, 19571 April, 2021

Czeslawa (Tess) Nowak, Czeslawa was born in Tomaszow, Poland on May 21, 1957, youngest daughter of Stanislaw and Aniela Nowak. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1963 and settled in Richmond, B.C. In her early twenties, she started a career with CP Air and 31 years later, retired with Air Canada. She was an avid golfer, racquetball and baseball player. Her preference was team sports, in which she played ball with the Omega and Tiago ball teams at the Meraloma Club and Airline tournaments. She had a large circle of friends; however, Janice, Joanie and Christy were her 3 BFF’s. They all enjoyed the 3 B’s (boys, beer & baseball), fine dining and travel. Along her journey, what started out as a good friendship with Shawn, eventually flourished into love and adoration for one another. They were inseparable; worked, golfed, pruned trees and traveled the globe together for close to 30 years. Tess also accepted with pleasure, to help raise our daughter Brianne and was very proud of her accomplishments. Tess was selfless, generous, kind and the life of the party. She loved to laugh and have a good time, she lit up the room. Regrettably, Tess’s life was cut short as she lost her battle to cancer on April 01/21. A special thanks to Janina and Dana in helping Tess deal with this disease. Tess is survived by her spouse Paul S.Farrall and her step daughter Brianne. She also leaves behind 8 siblings, Frank, Jan (Maria), Danuta (Stefan), Stella (Barry), Janina (Andre), Sigmund (Lisa), Robert (Jola), Mark (Irena). She is also a Ciocia (Auntie) to a great number of nieces and nephews. Tess will be celebrated in the post Covid days ahead. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory to “Mouth and Foot Painting Artists” would make her smile.

I was very saddened to hear of Tess' passing and give heartfelt condolences to Shawn and her family. I played baseball for many years with Tess and remember many fun times, parties and travels together. She definitely enjoyed life and laughed a lot. I will always have fond memories for a very fun loving Tess.

Tess was a one of a kind. So enjoyed working with her for so many years. I remember playing cards on our breaks , going to the terminal for lunch on weekends , all the laughs and good times. She made going to work enjoyable. She was one of nicest persons that I ever met. We will miss you. Shawn ; so sorry for your loss.

Our hearts are saddened with hearing that Tess has passed on and we send heartfelt thoughts to Shawn and Brianne and to all Tess’s brothers and sisters plus the many nephews and nieces. It’s really a loss to not have this bright cheery character to ‘kabitz’ with , or cheer on at a game or even clink glasses with at a gathering. She really was a BRIGHT LIGHT ! We played ball together for a few years and danced quite a few nights away. Tess had a ‘spunky’ personality which I really related to….and admired . The kind of person who worked hard and played hard and loved hard along with being very giving and understanding. Her laugh and smile were infectious! Tess really was one of a kind and she will be sorely missed by so so many, including Barry and I.

I worked at Canadian Airlines with Tess for at least 18 years. I was in a different department than Tess but saw her every day. Always greeted me with a smile and shared stories of the week . She was always a pleasure to be with and always gave great advise on different things in life.
You will be missed Tess. May you R.I.P.
