‘Skwatsi!’
Sunrise: July 17, 1967 – Sunset: September 13, 2025
It is with deep sadness we share the passing of David Glenn Guerrero on September 13, 2025. David was born at Lionsgate Hospital on July 17, 1967, to his late parents Manuel Guerrero and Darlene Nelson (nee: Nahanee). He grew up on Eslha7án̓ (Mission IR # 1). He attended Queen Mary Elementary School, AHP Matthew Elementary School, and Elphinstone Secondary School. He was a North Van Canoe Club puller, lacrosse player, a boxer and played road hockey in his younger years. He worked in the Abbotsford cedar mill, Demolition with Uncle Bruce, and odd jobs around the community. David was the number one uncle; he was always available to babysit. He had a way with the children, always making them laugh. He enjoyed drumming and singing. David was a big fan of rock music; some of his favourite bands were the Marshall Tucker band, Bob Seger, AC/DC, and Stevie Nicks. He loved fishing, camping, and getting outdoors. David was generous, funny, caring, adventurous, and fiercely protective of his family. He always checked in with his family; making sure they were on their best behavior. David’s greatest achievements were his kids, Keisha and Devon. They will carry on his legacy.
David will be dearly missed by his children: Keisha Jade Peters, Devin Glenn Peters; mother of children Julie Peters; wife: Lynette Keen; siblings Anthony ‘Tony’ James Guerrero, Marnie Denise Joseph (Ed), Manuel Gordon Guerrero Jr. (Bonnie), ‘Turtle’ Kelly Steven Guerrero, Tanya Marie McKay (Nelson); nieces & nephews Teri-Lynn Guerrero, William Guerrero, Katie Lynn Guerrero, Tanya Guerrero, Nia Brown, Travis Baker-Guerrero, Aaron Baker; grand nieces & nephews Jesse, Caleb, Jonas, Jaxton, Kaylee, Haylee, Elora, Nohloni, Gage, Travis Jr, Greysen, Grant; special friend Jenna Bruer; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
