Don lived a long andhappy life in Vancouver, operating a successful insulation and roofing business together with wife Ellen (d. 2003) until retirement brought him more time for golf and ocean cruising. In later
years, Don and partner Rheta made many excursions to Alaska, Hawaii and the Panama Canal.
Don will be missed by partner Rheta Rix, brother Raymond Poulter, cousin Brian Armstrong
and other family and friends. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at VGH, particularly in the
neurology and kidney departments. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vancouver
Hospice Society in recognition of their gentle care to Don in his final days.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 25, from 3 to 5 pm, at the Kerrisdale Community Centre.
