It's your birthday tomorrow.

We're coming to see you. I picked up some of your favourite foods though the store was out of the best one, the rice rolls. Loh mai gai is a close second though, I guess. And the shrimp dumplings, of course.

Hi Eddie,

Shortly after you left us, Grandma passed not two weeks later. You two were always the closest. We lost Grandpa last month. The funeral was not even two weeks ago.

You know, sometimes mum texts your Hangouts. And it hurts to read it, it hurts to know how much she's hurting too.

I want to believe you are all together and happy.

We all miss you very much and we will always love you. We think about you a lot.

Quite a crazy 2020 it has been. Ups and downs, highs and lows. You came to mind and all the good times we had and all the laughs we shared. I guess I am just posting to say you are not forgotten Eddie. I cannot believe it is exactly a year to the day.  I sit here thinking about all the laughs we had. All those card games, all those sleepy breaks on the night shift. Thinking you probably wouldn't like the new "reverse retro" Detroit Red Wings jerseys. But hey, they were your team. I miss ya buddy, "tuxedo," I miss the things you'd say like "G2H," calling Barney and other people names in the warehouse, and so much more. You are always in our hearts and minds. I hope you are resting easy my friend.  I'm glad I gave you that hug all those years ago even though you laughed and didn't want it. You were one of a kind Eddie.

This is Eddie in 6th Grade, we had just completed a special project where we were all secret spies and our mission was to do a research project on one country and a notable animal.  Mine was Argentina and Alpacas, I don't remember what country Eddie was assigned.



I met Eddie in Windermere as one of the only males in our Grade 8 English class.  We huddled together as I was too shy to hang around the new girls in this new and strange place.  We spent a lot of time that year doing word searches and joking about.  As we grew up, I found out Eddie always had his way of doing things.  Different but always Eddie-like.  Afterwards, whether going to Anime conventions, or managing BU and MU, or chatting about random topics on IRC, or sharing computer parts and servers, we always had a good time.  The last time we spoke, we are discussing about what TVs to buy for Black Friday.  

This year, I lost a truly kind friend.   Miss you Eddie (Solidus_Snake).

When I transferred to Windermere in grade 11 I knew nobody. In physics class Eddie sat in front of me. One day he turned around and started talking to me. He was the first student to ever talk to to me. He took me down to the lunchroom to meet his misfit crew of friends. I don't know why he did but he gave me a group of life long friends that I still hang out with today. I never thanked Eddie for everything he's done for me but wherever he is I hope he knows how much I appreciate what he did for me. I miss you Eddie see you in a bit buddy.

It's been 23 years since I last saw Eddie, but I definitely still remember him from Elementary School. I remember he was a huge fan of WWE Wrestling and he and I would spend hours talking about it during recess and lunch at our old stomping yard of Renfrew Elementary. 

Rest well Eddie. Will definitely remember the great times we had during our childhood.

Eddie worked with me as a junior employee at Seagate Software / Crystal Decisions / Business Objects many years ago and we had our own private office downtown.  We sure did have a lot of laughs in his short time there, though I think we mighta been “working” on video games for at least SOME of those scheduled work hours.  :)   A very kind person, and you will never be forgotten, my friend.

Eddie and I have known each other for just over ten years having worked at the BC LDB together. When I remember Eddie I have to look back and smile at all the amazing and ridiculous memories we made working together that long. All the night shifts playing BIG 2 in the Cafeteria with Rich and the boys, talking hockey in the aisles between picking cases, lounging/napping in the recoup area, all the ridiculous banter with Shandelle, Denzel, Jeremy, Mel and the crew. Always pranking Barney and calling each other names in Pallet Control and around the warehouse. We always talked about Video games and the newest shows on Netflix. It was always fun to be nerdy with you Eddie. You made me, and everyone who worked with you smile and laugh, you always put all of us in hilariously great moods. You will be missed "Tuxedo." Rest in Peace our friend...

We've known each other since early highschool, and I am still in shock that you're gone.  From the gaming days, you were the first to teach me the difference between doing something and doing something well, and I'm going to miss you immensely.

I will always remember the times Eddie and I played tag, hide and seek, street hockey and other games with the kids across the street. I will always remember waffles with ice cream with Glen. I will always remember Easter Egg hunting. Fighting for the tofu at dinner. Playing video games on the Sega Genesis and Nintendo NES.

I will always remember my brother.

Eddie and I have been friends since grade 8, and we've been hanging with the same bunch of buddies ever since.  

Eddie was a wizard at RTS games, and would often school us in Starcraft.  The way he did was always entertaining. 

Condolences to the family...

I went to elementary school with Eddie and he was one of the first friends I had.  Not sure if it was a coincidence or not but we were in the same class/division every year from Kindergarten to Grade 6!

We grew apart and although we went to same high school, we didn't have many classes together.  

I will always fondly remember Eddie and hopes that he rests in peace.
