In May 1954, he married June Miller, and together raised four boys, Ronald, Robert, Alan and Thomas. Ed was a sports enthusiast and recognized the benefits sport offers young people and the community. He devoted countless hours as a coach and board member at Riley Park hockey and Little Mountain baseball associations.
He is predeceased by his parents and son, Ronald (Denise). He is survived by his wife, June, sons, Robert, Alan (RaeAnn) and Thomas (Cyndi) and grandchildren, Kevin, Colin and Kate. There will be no formal ceremony. The family will have a small private function at a later date.
