It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Eila Astells, who passed away peacefully at the age of 96.
Eila was survived by her four children, Ted (Katherine), Joanne (Garth), Kathie (Stephen), and Suzanne (Mark), as well as three grandchildren, Ashley (Oren), Stephanie (Jeven), and Brooke (Jason), two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Tober and her sister, Irja Martin.
Eila lived a long and fulfilling life, and was known for her sweet nature. She always had a smile on her face and was a true joy to be around. She was loved by all who knew her, and will be greatly missed.
Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who supported Eila during her time with us. Your love and kindness will always be remembered.
Eila will be laid to rest at a private gathering and we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Rest in peace, Eila. Your love and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
