To the Family of Eleanor Tate,
I'm Caroline and the new OMF Regional Ministry Coordinator for BC.  I write to let you know that prayers are with your family as your mourn the passing of Eleanor.  I have not met Eleanor, as I am new in my position, but in my conversations with a couple of the missionaries, I learned that  she was a long-time prayer warrior with the OMF Richmond prayer group.  She came to the prayer meetings regularly, praying for the needs in the field and its missionaries.  Our prayer leader, Gary, said she was a very nice woman and keen follower of Jesus.  Eleanor also supported Tony and Pat (missionaries in Japan).  Tony and Pat have visited Eleanor a few times since they came back from Japan.  They are sorry they were not in town for the memorial service as they were speaking at a conference in Washington.  Fee Reeds, one of the OMF missionaries who passed away last year was also supported by Eleanor.  Eleanor is a special woman and I'm sure her legacy will be remembered and treasured by her family and friends.  I wish I had known her, but will wait until I meet her in heaven one day!
