It is with deep love and sadness that the family of George Karajordanides announces his passing on August 8, 2026, at the age of 90.
George lived a long and fulfilling life, always surrounded by family and friends who became his extended family in Canada. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and zest for life. He was always there with his toolbox, ready to lend a helping hand, and with his BBQ, eager to prepare the wonderful Greek meals that brought family and friends together around the table.
George was recently predeceased by his beloved wife, Thomae, with whom he is now reunited in eternity. He leaves behind his devoted children, Maria (Tony), Stan (Allison), and Dimitria (Mike), as well as his cherished grandchildren, Georgia, Sophia, and Matthew.
George was a significant influence in our lives. He taught us the importance of loving and supporting those around us without hesitation. His family meant everything to him, and the love, values, and memories he shared with us will remain in our hearts forever.
The family would like to extend their deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at New Vista Care Home. Your compassion, kindness, and care brought us great comfort during a difficult time, and we will always be grateful for everything you did for our father.
Though he will be profoundly missed, his legacy lives on through the family and friends whose lives he touched.
May his memory be eternal.
Αιωνία του η μνήμη.
Remember by Christina Rosetti
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you planned:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
